Ingredients of Redvelvet birthday cake

  1. Prepare 2 cups of flour.
  2. It's 1 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. You need 3 tsp of cocoa powder.
  4. It's 1 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
  5. It's 1 tsp of baking powder.
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup of melted butter/veg. Oil.
  7. Prepare Pinch of salt.
  8. It's 1 cup of warm water.
  9. You need 1 cup of butter milk.
  10. It's 3 of large eggs.
  11. You need of Strawberry flavour.
  12. It's of Red food color(gel preferably).
  13. It's of Butter cream.
  14. Prepare 2 cups of icing sugar.
  15. It's 4 of tsbs of milk.
  16. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla flavor.
  17. Prepare of Unsalted butter.
  18. Prepare of Preferred amount of food color.

The absolute best red velvet cake I have ever tasted and I am not a red velvet fan. I made this red velvet cake for my cousins graduation party, since red velvet is his favorite cake flavor. This Red Velvet cake was definitely not what I expected. It could be that I have no experience with Red Velvet cake but with this recipe the cake was much to heavy.

Redvelvet birthday cake step by step

  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl,break eggs(one at a time and beat).
  2. Add vegetable oil/melted butter and keep beating, add food colour to butter milk and add gradually to flour until it finishes.
  3. Lastly pour your warm water into cake batter and add flavor.
  4. Pre-heat oven, it shouldn't be too hot nor too cold. Use a parchment paper and line your tray before baking cake if you don't have a parchment paper you can rub butter to your pan then dust some flour and you're good to go.
  5. Bake cake for 20-25minutes, use a tooth pick to check if cake is well baked.
  6. Caution: Don't open oven every five minutes, your cake will collapse.
  7. For butter cream, beat milk,flavour icing sugar and butter together for 5-10minutes until well beat.

The Icing was bland and honestly tasted like flour. Overall the cake was nothing special. However I am willing to try it again just to make sure it was not my own fault. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and whisk until well combined. The most incredible Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting!
